His novels are imaginatively written with an honest, enthralling sense of place and of humor.Each essay took me on a different journey, most of which are far from my almost 70 years of personal experiences. It is fulfilling to have an author share different points of view and invite you in.
Liked the opening essay the best. May use it in the classroom as an English teacher.
I am a huge Richard Russo fan and this is a charming collection of his writings on writings. A delight to read and Russo funny.
I enjoyed most of the essays. Sometimes, I felt as if the topic was written with too much detail.
Love Richard Russo's writing, prefer his fiction but he's always enjoyable to read!
